March 2025
Fundraiser ATCCC
We sincerely appreciate your presence at our fundraising dinner on 1st March at Glen Eira Town Hall. It was a pleasure to see everyone come together connecting with fellow donor members, enjoying the entertainment, and learning about the progress your Board has made.
We are excited to share that we have reached a significant milestone—100 donor members have now contributed to this vision. Notably, we are thrilled to welcome a few second-generation members who have shown a keen interest. The Board extends its heartfelt gratitude to these young donors and their parents for their enthusiasm and for fostering these values within our community.
The evening began with a captivating Kuchipudi dance performance, followed by an engaging trivia session on language, literature, and the arts. Guests were treated to the soothing melodies of the Veena, accompanied by keyboard and octopad, and later enjoyed a lively stand-up comedy performance by Tej, a talented member of our own community. A delightful meal further enhanced the experience, making the night truly special.
During the event, the Board provided an update on its progress since taking over last October. Thanks to your generosity, we now have $639K in cash reserves, which will increase to $658K once ongoing donor installments are completed. Additionally, we received 15 new donation pledges leading up to the event and are actively working to convert these pledges into contributions to our public fund. Our fundraising efforts continue as we strive toward the $1M milestone—the Board’s recommended trigger point for placing a deposit on a suitable property.
Overall, our first fundraising dinner was a resounding success, and we are deeply grateful for your support. We encourage you to keep spreading the word and helping us engage new donor members. Plans for our next fundraising event are already underway, and we aim to make it an even greater success.
