Core Values:
To act with Integrity and Transparency, Maintain Professionalism, Always Engage and Collaborate with the Community
Since inception the inception of Telugu Association of Australia (TAAI) 31-years ago, our proud initiator TAAI (www.taai.net.au) has remained a united community organisation serving and representing all Telugu speaking members. TAAI has been providing a reliable platform for Telugu speaking families to come together, foster friendships and celebrate Telugu culture.
We all know that the Telugu community is increasing in numbers at a rapid rate over the recent years. To meet the growing needs of the Telugu families, TAAI members have felt the need to have a dedicated ‘Community and Cultural Centre’ and provided a formal approval for the work to be carried out at the July 2019 AGM.
Following that milestone decision, TAAI formed a new entity (in August 2019) named ‘Australia Telugu Community and Cultural Centre Ltd’ (ATCCC) as a limited liability company with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ABN 98 635 632 316).
As a public company, ATCCC is being governed by its own constitution and managed by an independent Board of directors. Subsequently, the board has registered ATCCC as a not-for-profit cultural charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). In addition, an application to obtain a ‘Deductible Gift Recipient’ status has been lodged and approved with the Register of Cultural Organisations (ROCO) so that all donations made to ATCCC could be tax exempt.
