Telugu Culture Enrichment Grants Program
Introduction
The Australian Telugu Cultural and Community Centre (ATCCC) is committed to supporting the Telugu community and fostering cultural activities. As part of this commitment, the ATCCC Board has approved the Telugu Culture Enrichment Grants Program aimed at providing financial assistance to eligible Telugu cultural organisations or Telugu volunteer groups to partially cover venue hire and associated expenses. This initiative aligns with ATCCC’s vision to establish a vibrant, iconic Telugu cultural and community centre to promote Telugu culture in Melbourne. This grant is part of the annual allocation by ATCCC, earmarked for community engagement and marketing. Marketing spend is decided by the Board on a case-by-case basis. ATCCC is committed to a transparent, merit-based process that avoids personal bias and requires strong documentary evidence for all decisions.
Objectives

To financially support Telugu cultural organisations and volunteer groups promoting Telugu culture, arts, and music to partially meet venue hire and associated expenses.

To demonstrate commitment to support culture, music and art driven by our thriving Telugu community.

To build goodwill within the community and create new pathways for attracting new donor members.

To create marketing opportunities and raise awareness of ATCCC initiatives.
Grant Scope
-
Covers up to 50% of eligible venue hire and directly associated event costs within annual budget allocated for marketing

Maximum grant per event is dependent up on the audience size of the event
-
One successful grant per organisation per calendar year.

Event must be held in Australia and benefit the local Telugu community.
Eligibility Criteria

Must be a registered not-for-profit Telugu cultural organisation or equivalent volunteer group based in Victoria.

Must provide a written event plan including objectives, date, venue, expected attendees.

Submit quotes for venue hire and a line-item event budget (including in-kind support).

Clearly demonstrate the event promotes Telugu language, music, dance, fine arts or cultural heritage.

Agree to acknowledge ATCCC in event promotions and on-site (e.g., stage mention, logos).

Agree to share photographs and video post-event for ATCCC marketing (with consent).

Must submit invoices/receipts for all grant-covered expenses (no reimbursement without documentation).
Application and Approval Process

Applicants must submit the official Grant Application Form at least 4 weeks before the event.

Applications will be reviewed by the ATCCC Grants Subcommittee using a standardised scoring process.

Recommendations will be submitted to the Board, which has final discretion based on merit and available funding.

Applicants will be notified of the Board's decision within 2 weeks of the meeting.

Unsuccessful applicants may seek brief feedback to improve future submissions.
Conditions & Reporting

Grants are reimbursed only on submission of valid tax invoices/receipts.

Organisations must acknowledge ATCCC in promotional materials and event proceedings.

A short acquittal report must be submitted within 2 weeks post-event (summary, photos, media).

Failure to meet conditions or provide documentation may result in future ineligibility or recovery of funds.
